Pool 8 ball

8-ball pool is a game played on a pool table with 15 balls: 1 white cue ball, 15 object balls (7 solid colors, 7 stripes, and 1 black 8-ball). The object of the game is to pocket all of your opponent's balls and then the 8-ball.


The game starts with a break shot. The player who wins the lag (a coin flip or other method of determining who goes first) gets to break. On the break shot, you can hit any ball you want, but you must hit at least one object ball. If you pocket any balls on the break, you get to take another shot. If you don't pocket any balls on the break, your opponent gets to take a shot.


Once the break shot is over, the players take turns shooting. On your turn, you can hit any ball you want, but you must hit your cue ball first. If you pocket a ball, you get to take another shot. If you don't pocket a ball, your opponent gets to take a shot.
